What does "IPV4 Default GW down" mean

Per default the appliance tries to reach the gateway via ping. If not available, it will show gateway down. 

You can change the destination server in Network - Wan link manager or routing - gateways and move to a public known ISP.

As I'm on a VDSL connection, the Gateway is set automatically.
So it's greyed out and may not be changed in WAN and Routing settings.

To me this is an obvious bug.
The UTM is able to properly detect and display the state of an active (or inactive) VDSL connection.
So it can't be that difficult, to properly implement this on the XG, true ?

Under Routing "Health check - On" is displayed.
Quick and dirty would be, to disable this check.
Is there an option, to switch this off ? If yes - how can I do it ?

He is not asking you to change the gateway, but change the setting in the wan link tab.

UTM had a slower interval of health check compared to SFOS. SFOS per default uses the WAN default gateway (which is basically the ISP router) and i know, there are certain problems in the uptime of those routers. Therefore moving to another health check device would be better.

OK, so I simply set the Ping to something else out there.
But where is the rest of the connection information gone ?
The UTM would display some more detailed information about the connection, like uplink speed etc.
