XG FW not reachable after install/initial

Hi Ian, What do you mean exactly? I tried 2 different ISO files couple of times, same VM config as before when it worked without an issue.

per logs, all appliance access is denied, to port1(LAN) and port2(WAN), for WAN it makes sense, as settings are correct under Administration/Device access, but for LAN access no logic in that.

are the VM ports pointing at the XG ports? How many interfaces are active on the VM and on the XG?

yes, other VM's are working fine, 2 interfaces on host, 2 on VM, LAN port 1 for internal network, WAN to router / port 2

Assuming your ports are not correctly assigned. If you use this appliance_access it will enable the WAN Access. I assume, you are not having access to LAN, instead to  the WAN port. Check on Console via ifconfig Port1 and ifconfig Port2, which interface MAC are assigned and reference them to the MACs on the Vmware. 

on arp tables i can see same MAC address for both WAN and LAN interfaces on XG, as well same on Proxmox host WAN and LAN interfaces, and in VM setup is not like that, basically WAN interface MAC for VM gets bonded with both interfaces, how is that possible
