firewall-accelaration enable

Hi, everyone

I just have an issue with my Firewall XG115 v18 MR-4... It rebooted in operation time, with no evidences why...

I contact the support sophos and they said to disable the firewall-accelaration feature. If I understand, this is tha fastpath and it seems to be a bug that should have been fixed  in v18. I want to understand what happens when disable this feature and why it cause the auto reboot.

    Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Sophos Community! 

    Would it be possible for you to share the support case number? Did you turn off the firewall acceleration on your firewall? If yes, have you noticed any random reboots afterward? The console logging would help identify the issue related to the random restarts of your firewall.

    Hello again, 

    Unfortunately the incident happened again yesterday, after some days without any problem..
    I have turned off the firewall-acceleration on the firewall but it dosen't seem to work.

    I have upgraded the firmware to 18.0.5 MR-5 a few days a go, but the service was disable yet.. 
    Any ideia what could be causing these random reboots?

    Hi ,

    Sorry to hear that the issue persists. 

    I'd suggest you capture the console and csc logs in debugging for further investigation. Open a support case at support.sophos.com with suggested logs. The instructions to set up console logging and csc in debugging are in my previous reply. You'd have to capture the next reboot event and provide the logs to find the root cause of the restart.
