Web policies

Hi everyone,

I got a sophos SG210 with the following firmware (SFOS 18.0.4 MR-4). Regarding licensing feature I got the Base Firewall. When I try to set up web filter policy the following message is displayed :

Even with that message I can set up the policy and apply it to a firewall rule. however it seems that web filter is not really applied because website are not blocked... Can someone please tell me if even with Base Firewall I can apply web filter and if yes why it doesn't work... what am I missing  ?

    Hello Anthony.

    Well I'd say you gave the answer yourself. You may create those rules and apply them but without a license it looks like it will be ignored.

    You could give it a try. You may enable a test license for the web protection. Just navigate Administration->Licensing . There is a button "Activate evaluations" . This you can do once for the modules you want to try. After that testing period the modules get deactivated.

    Thanks Thom I thought that web filtering could be done even with home licence…
