Problem IPSEC Connect after upgrade to XG 18 MR5 - False PSK

Hi,

i upgrade our Firewall to XG 18 MR5. the Support says thats the randomly reboots are resolved.

SSLVPN works fine but IPSEC Say "false PSK". When i look the preshared Key it show now a $sfosxxxxxxxxxxxxxx key. Not the old one. When i change the Key to the old one it generate a new $sfosxxxxxxxxxxxxx key.

When i export the config from the Gui it show the old correct password.

Client Sophos 2.0 and 2.1 tested with Windows 10.

I rollback to MR4 and all works as aspected with randomly rebootsand rimeouts

How can we resolve this? We had reboots every day and many Employees use IPSEC.

Thanks

Best Regards

Steffen

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Could you confirm if SSMK(Secure Storage Master Key) is configured on your firewall?

The SSMK(Secure Storage Master Key) could encrypt the IPsec/L2TP preshared key. However, the preshared key might not be causing this issue.

Could you please confirm if you mean to say firewall reboots or connect client application restarts/times out?

If you opened a support case, please send the case number to me by sending a personal message.

    Thanks,
