Link Failover

Hello,

I would like to implement fail over between two locations. The main link is a direct Ethernet link and the second link is IPsec VPN.

I have also found the KB-000035833 which match my requirements however I have the following question : The KB-000035833 is based on v17.X and I have to use the following command

Syntax: system link_failover add primarylink <MPLSPort> backuplink vpn tunnel <VPNLink> monitor PING host <RemoteIP>

Is the same apply to v18 ? or I can do the failover using a better way ?

    Hi ,

    Thanks for reaching out to the Community! 

    The commands provided in the KBA aren’t firmware version-specific; you could use them on to v18 as well. It monitors the remote device through TCP or ICMP, and link failover selection will be based on the remote device's status.
