System services not working due to stuck on HA

Hi, I have two xg106's that normally run in HA mode.  Primary/Auxilliary mode, had to break HA between devices for relocation and updates and now my auxilliary is working fine but the primary is stuck.  When i go to system services the wheel just spins and i cant access any of the other tabs like services etc.  If i refresh my browser i can get to all other tabs and even able to reboot via admin tab however system services still just spins whenever i access that tab.  Console states that HA is disabled.

  • We have exactly the same behaviour with out two XG210.

This bug is known since TWO MONTHS and their solution is to roll back :(

When i called Support (Crtitcal) in Germany i was directed to someone who could barely speak english with horrible sound quality who told me to revert to the previous version.

Sophos Support is really terrible at the moment.

  • Did you tell support the Bug ID?

Could you give us the Case ID?

Could you follow up on this please?

  • I wasn't given any Case ID, i called and was told to roll back, the rest of the conversation was pointless since i really could'nt understand anything reasonable.

I told the mister on the phone the Bug ID and he replied that this was known behaviour and i should roll back. Nothing else.

    Hi ,

    Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

The fix for this issue(NC-66978) is tentatively planned to be included in the v18 MR5 release.

However, if you don't want to wait for the firmware release, open a support case at support.sophos.com and mention the internal ID to get the patch applied to your firewall. Please PM me the support case number so that I can help with the follow-up.

I'm also sending you a PM to get some more information regarding your call to the support team.

    Thanks,

  • Thank you so much!

I will ask out customer for another maintenance window and open a case as soon as i have confirmation.
