Release Mails from quarantine

Hello,

last week we migrated from SG to XG and there are some problems which we can't solve, especially because the search in SOPHOS community ans support doesn't work in a usable way.

"Release" mails from quarantine from "Quarantine Digest" mail doesn't work. There is no error message, only a browser message "You can release quarantined emails only from user portal. To release them, sign in to user portal." I think this is a bug, not a feature?

We miss the link for "whitelist this mail", did SOPHOS forget this useful feature?

Also in user portal there is no chance to whitelist quarantined mails like in SG before. Shouldn't XG not be better than SG?

And we would like to export and import black- and whitelists, but don't find a way.

German "Umlaute" like äöü do not work properly in "name shown" with mailadress.

Thanks for your help!

  • Thank you Harsh.

The links show a workaround, but do not indicate that it is actually a bug. If you receive an email with a link "release", you expect that when you click on the link, the email will be released from the quarantine.

In addition, I am surprised or annoyed that, in contrast to the SG, there is no button to whitelist precisely this mail in the quarantine digest mail or in the user portal directly for a mail in quarantine. Instead, you have to make a manual entry in the whitelist.

  • Hans, I've noticed the same thing (I have a customer that has been very vocal about this change)... I recommend you contact your Sophos Partner (or Channel Rep if you are a reseller) and voice your concern so that they can push this up the chain.  I've done the same.
