Sophos XG Home - Wechseln der Lizenz

(I've moved your thread to the correct forum.)

Since you already applied the Trial License on your firewall, the only way to use the Home license now is by reinstalling Sophos XG.

First, you can do a backup of your current configuration so you don't have to create all rules again; Then reinstall Sophos XG on Proxmox, apply the Home License - and then import the backup file on your new installation.

Sadly, there is no way to remove the Trial license and apply the Home License.

But if you do as I said above, you won't lose any of your current configurations.

Yeah, I know. I did almost the same, when changing from my old slow hardware-Sophos to the quicker VM-Sophos. But I need some downtime and I have a teenager in the house. No internet means war. ;-)

Ok, thanks for your help. I will decide when I do the re-installating. It´s  not third of January yet. ;-)

One more question. When I use the new serial number, then I get this message:

activation request skipped because of device already activated

Even when I order another serial, I get this message.

Can you click on "Skip registration for now", and then check if the device is already registered ?

One thing, don't import the backup before finishing the first setup wizard and applying the new license, or else It will use the old license from the backup.

But this serial is not registered elsewhere. I just ordered this via

Free Firewall Download: Sophos Home Edition Firewall

Even with another email-address it shows me this error.

Hm. I did nothing, but this looks good, isn´t it? Haven´t use the backup from the other Sophos yet.

Yes, It's using the Home License.

Try to import the backup now.
