Sophos XG Home - Wechseln der Lizenz

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe mir eine Sophos XG Home als VM konfiguriert mit 4 NICs.

Das Ganze läuft in Proxmox als Hypervisor und es läuft sehr gut.

Ich habe allerdings versehentlich (warum auch immer) eine 30-Tage-Testlizenz eingespielt, welche am 03.01.2021 ablaufen wird.

Das ist natürlich eher suboptimal.

Nun habe ich die richtige Home Lizenz, die nicht ausläuft, bekomme diese aber nicht eingespielt. Wie kann ich das umsetzen?

    Hi,

    (I've moved your thread to the correct forum.)

    Since you already applied the Trial License on your firewall, the only way to use the Home license now is by reinstalling Sophos XG.

    First, you can do a backup of your current configuration so you don't have to create all rules again; Then reinstall Sophos XG on Proxmox, apply the Home License - and then import the backup file on your new installation.

    Sadly, there is no way to remove the Trial license and apply the Home License.

    But if you do as I said above, you won't lose any of your current configurations.

    Yeah, I know. I did almost the same, when changing from my old slow hardware-Sophos to the quicker VM-Sophos. But I need some downtime and I have a teenager in the house. No internet means war. ;-)

    Ok, thanks for your help. I will decide when I do the re-installating. It´s  not third of January yet. ;-)
