VPN NOT CONNECTING

Does the XG is behind a NAT (router) device? If so please add under Configure >> VPN >> Show VPN Settings >> Override Hostname, the Public IP of the router in front of the XG.

which ip address should i input here? Public ip?

Thats not the point. 

You need to have a public IP to connect to. 
This could be a DNS or a static IP, if you have one. 

If you do not have both, you can use the free of charge Sophos DNS. https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000035708?language=en_US

Simple use one name of your choice. Put this into the overwrite Hostname. 

Hi, this screenshot is probably the DHCP range used by SSL VPN for the clients. You should use only private addresses here.

Commonly there is a 10.254.0.0 Range used or similar.
