New XG106W LAN / WAN Port Problems

Hello,

I've just unboxed a brand new Sophos XG106W and I wanted to set it up for a client, the issue is when I plug in the firewall the LAN and WAN ports blink.

After the status becomes constantly green, the ports stop blinking and nothing works.

After several restarts / resets I was able to access the device and the ports were blinking, I've updated the firmware to the latest version. And after a restart the same problem happened again.

I guess this needs to be a hardware issue, i've already setup multiple Sophos XG devices and I never had such a problem.

Sounds like a hardware issue, please open a case requesting for a new RMA device.

Hello sadly,

we've bought a second device for another client. Sadly this device had the same issue after the setup wizard has been completed. It seems to be an issue with the newest Software Update 18.03.

Sorry to hear about this issue. Did you happen to open a case with Support for the original post?

Also, can you open a case with support about this new one, since it makes 2 with the same issue, the case might need to be escalated to look for RCA.
