Make XG85 work with Google Nest Wifi mesh

Our VIP user with an XG85 home router wants to add the Google Nest Wifi mesh for better wifi coverage. I have searched quite a bit here and on Google but cannot find a clear example of how to allow both to co-exist.

Has anyone done this with an XG? It apparently is not as simple as simply putting the Nest router in AP mode, which is how I have my secondary wifi router working with ny XG85.

  • Hello Wineoh,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

If you connect the Google Wifi to one of the ports of the XG (LAN) then you can have the XG act as a Double NAT for the Google Wifi.

And as mentioned by rfcat_vk, set the device in bridge mode, so the XG networks and the Google Wifi networks can talk to each other.
