Sophos Connect 2.0 Service not running

Deploying new Sophos Connect 2.0 to all users in our company. After a week, users are complaining about Sophos Connect client, in log there is info that Service is unavailable/Please ensure the SSL service is running. We are using SSL VPN, all policies are getting auto provisioned to users.

SSL VPN service in Windows 10 is actually running, restarting service/computer does not solve the problem. Uninstall and installation of old SSL VPN Client solves the problem.

Anyone else with the same problem, and maybe fix for Sophos Connect 2.0?

  • So after 2 months since posting this problems, more and more users have this problem. For all this users I installed old SSL VPN client from portal. The old client also has problems on old Windows 10 builds with applying tunnel DNS settings.

    So old client and Windows 10 upgrade solved my problems.

    Also If you want to connect to two SSL VPN sessions at the same time, you can create another virtual adapter.

    Just "Run as Administrator" this file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos SSL VPN Client\bin\addtap.bat" and it creates new adapter.
