Doubts about QuickCluster, XG V18

Question

Hello everyone. 
 I did a lab test with QuickCluster, using two vms, XG v18, it worked perfect, fast and easy, I found it fantastic. Today I tried to make the same configuration with two XG 310, only remotely, the customer helping me on site. I asked him to put a crossover cable in port 8 of each XG, only the box that will be the master has all the other cables connected (WAN, LAN .....), when I clicked on start the configuration, the boxes are found, but synchronization took well over 4 minutes and the cluster was not created. 
 Is it because the slave box is missing the other cables (WAN, LAN .....)?

 Thank you for reaching out to the Community! 
 When you configure and enable HA active/passive, you have to plug other cables to all monitored ports on the passive unit to compete with the HA process; if you do not plug them, the HA status might report passive unit as "faulty."
