Guest user unable to access the internet.

I set up an Hotspot for guest users on my network to connect wirelessly through the Sophos APX.

I was able to generate vouchers but after putting the 'optional number 12345678' it doesn't bring login page to input the code.

Kindly assist.

    Are you running v17 or v18?

    If the users are getting an IP but are not being redirected to the page to enter the voucher number, please make sure that the hotspot service is running, Configure >> System Services >> Services >> Hotspot.

    If it is running, how is the APX connected to the XG is directly connected to the XG, is it using a VLAN?

  • It is running v17.

    Users are not getting an IP from the dhcp IP range I created rather they still get IP address from the other DHCP pool created on the XG.

     

    ***please make sure that the hotspot service is running, Configure >> System Services >> Services >> Hotspot*** I will confirm this.

    If it is running, how is the APX connected to the XG is directly connected to the XG, is it using a VLAN? The APX is connected directly to  switch but there no VLAN configured.

    If you go to Protect >> Wireless >> Hotspots >> YOURHOTSPOT >> Interfaces, the users will get an IP from this interface. In my case is GuestAP and the Interface and DHCP
