Sophos Connect Clients disconnecting during transfer

Sorry if this doesn't go in Authentication, but it seemed to be the closest Topic.

We are in the Entertainment Industry, so we deal with extremely large files. WFH has been great with the Sophos Connect Client; however, some of our users are having to do uploads to the server that take over 4 hours. These users are being disconnected around the 3, 3.5 hour mark, even though they have an active transfer going.

Besides a systemwide "relaxation" of the timeout settings, how can I configure 2 or 3 users to never auto-disconnect?

  • I'll leave my question here, but I think I found my solution. Pretty simple, actually. I can create a new SSL VPN (remote access) "group." In that group I can put the Users that I don't want to manually disconnect and set Disconnect idle clients to Off.

Hopefully it gets tested out this weekend. Please let me know if that doesn't sound like a feasible solution.
