Migration SG 9.7 to XG

We are partner and I downloaded the latest available version of the tool (SW-SMAOS_17.0.0_SMA_2-1818.iso).

I cannot migrate a 9.702-1 UTM configuration:

Did you use a space or something like that in the name of the migration in the Tool? 

I tried with and without, the result is the same.

What is your exact problem? Is your migration platform not important because UTM9.700 is to new, or does your VM stuck now? 

I was facing the same problem. Manually editing the version to 9.606001 in the UTM backup file resolved the issue.

I tried with notepad and notepad++ with the same result. What tool did you use to edit the file?

I did also take care with no space into the process name.

I successfully imported an old 9.510005 file in parallel.

So where do you stuck? On the "Only UTM9.6 supported" banner or does the migration do not start? 

I tried all that is on this thread to import a 9.7 file. The result is still the same:

9.7 is available for a long time now, it seems that the migration tool is not that used.

We will migrate from a 4 mounts old 9.5 backup file with manual adjustments.

For anyone still looking on how to migrate utm 9.7 back-up file.

Search via notepad++ for "9.7" (via ctrl+f)

Replace "9.7xxx" by "9.606001"

Save and exit

Import the saved file into the migration assistant, continue and let it do it's work.

This might work for future releases

Thanks for this. That saved me a lot of time. An update of the migration tool would be nice.
