Is there an update available, or coming, to update from 17.5.9 / 17.5.10 to v18 without requiring a factory reset?

When I try to manually upload the v18 .sig update file as found on the MySophos Portal to our SG450 (converted over to XG) running v17.5.10, it says in order to complete the update process it will set the configuration back to factory settings... am I missing something?

  • This is a bit Firmware hopping. The Problem is 17.5.10 you have to go to 17.5.9 an then upgrade to 18. I think it is because the 17.5.10 came later and the migration script in the 18 does not know this version. I've only just recreated this at my appliance and it's the same there.

  • Tim, you are right--this was the issue; apparently their upgrade firmware does not yet recognize 17.5.10 -- rolling back to 17.5.9, then updating to v18 worked fine.  Thanks for the hint!
