SG115 migration to xg home

Dear all,

I am desperate ... I have a sg115 hardware appliance with formerly UTM running (home license). Today I wiped the ssd and installed the Sophos XG software iso with success. 

 

My initial plan was to migrate my utmost home license - that did not work. So I generated a new xg home license key but I am not able to enter it in the licensing dialog. the appliance always want to generate its own number and now set me to basic firewall functions for a month. 

 

is there any possibility to use the sg115 with xg as home user?

    Is the serial number already "greyed" in the wizard? 

    You need to reinstall the appliance, because the serial number is a one time chance to implement and on the serial number, there is the license attached. 

    Switching from business  to home license is not possible.
