Access existing IPsec tunnel through SSL VPN?

Hello,

I hope this is the right section.

On an XG105, we have an IPsec tunnel to a remote network set up (XG is on our location, the remote connection is a Lancom router). We also set up an SSL VPN connection to our location.

The question is, is there any way to allow users connecting to our location via SSL VPN to also access ressources from the remote location, connected via IPsec?

We added the tunnel to the permitted network ressources in the SSL VPN (remote access) configuration, but so far it doesn't work.

  • Hi

Please add SSL VPN Lease IP range in the Local Subnet in IPsec Configuration at XG side and Remote Subnet as a remote end device and reconnect the IPsec Tunnel.

For example, the SSL VPN Lease IP range is 172.16.16.x/24

Local Subnet XG IPsec - 172.16.16.x/24

Remote Subnet Lancom IPsec configuration - 172.16.16.x/24

Reconnect the IPsec tunnel, Create VPN to VPN zone firewall rule and communication will work.

  • Hello Keyur,

thank you for your answer. Just to clarify, you mean to add the SSL VPN Lease IP Range to the "Local subnet" field under XG's VPN > IPsec connections > Gateway settings > Local gateway?

Also, did you mean to add it into the "Remote subnet" field next to the "Local subnet" field, or to add it on the Lancom router?

  • Hi

XG's VPN > IPsec connections > Gateway settings > Local gateway > Local Subnet

Not sure about the LANCOM configuration but add in the same tab where the XG network has been added as the remote network.
