Internet does not work when connected to Global protect vpn

Hi Guys,

 

One of the client is facing issues while connecting to VPN, once he gets connected to global protect VPN he is not able to browse in Sophos environment, where as when he is connected to open network and he can connect to VPN as well he is able to access the internet.

Please suggest

    If the Global Protect VPN form a full tunnel, all the traffic initiated from the user system will travel through the VPN tunnel gateway only. You need to verify with the app provider for this.

    Can you please confirm the global protect VPN running in full tunnel mode or split tunnel mode?

    If it is set with full tunnel mode then all system traffic including the remote VPN network + Internet will be routed to VPN gateway only. At their end they required rule or ACL to forward VPN traffic to WAN if traffic is for WAN.

    If it is split tunnel mode then Internet traffic will be routed to system gateway and Remote VPN network for which route added under system with global protect VPN connection only that will be routed to VPN gateway.

    Thanks for the response

    But the client can connect to VPN and also he can browse when connected to open network(mobile internet ). When he connects the same through sophos network he is not able to browse. Is there any changes we can make from our side in the firewall.

    Hi  

    Please create a separate firewall rule for the users using his source IP for testing purposes and do not apply any policy on the firewall rule and verify whether it is working or not.

    After that apply the policies and scanning one by one and confirm after which parameter the VPN stopped working.
