So it's not possible to migrate from an XG135 to an SG210 (without FlexiPort module)?

Both run v17.5.7.

XG135 to XG210 should be possible.

XG135 to SG210 is not possible.

Note: The appliance you are restoring to, that is the destination device, can not be an SG model.

Why is this limited to XG hardware? I thought SG and XG had the same base.

What about wireless models... Why is it not possible to transfer from XG106w to XG106?

More than likely you would have to physically remove the wifi module from the XG106W.

Because there are certain objects, which cannot be migrated.

SG to XG is possible.

But XG to SG is not covered.

Broader Backup/Restore Support

Support for Migration to XG Series Hardware. Backups from XG Firewall running on SG Series devices can now be restored to XG Series devices.  In addition, backups from Cyberoam CROS and SFOS backups can be restored to XG Series devices without any manual conversion.

Are there alternative ways to get the configuration from the XG106w to the XG106 (other than a manual reconfiguration)?

I can't imagine that this will be enough to change the appliance model.

You could try to perform a Import / Export.

Another approach would be to quickly install a SFM (Free Trial), get the config via Template and push it to the XG106. 

What are the limitations of Import/Export and the Template via SFM? What cannot be imported here?
