I was hoping that this would be a relatively simple thing to accomplish.
Apologies if I am missing something basic here.
What I need to accomplish is the following:
I have several LIFX bulbs that seem to be extremely sensitive to multicast messages on the network.
Usage of multicast services like Sonos/Play-fi causes them to drop connectivity randomly.
I was hoping to :
- isolate them from the rest of the network by putting them on a separate VLAN (although on the same physical port)
- Allow exceptions from specific hosts so that the control devices from the primary network can still communicate with them
I created a separate host group for the devices and then created a separate VLAN for them but seem to be unable to assign them anywhere to the new VLAN
Also, assuming I can do the above- how do I setup the above configuration?
