Urgent Help: My Firewall Stopped Responding

Hello,

I have the XG 135 that is updated running with less than 100 users. I have been facing a critical issue since yesterday whereas the system would just freeze out... like no port would receive or send packets and everything won't respond but the connection would still be there active showing that LAN is connected but we won't be able to connect to the internet and will not be able to connect to the web GUI interface. Everytime this happens, all I do is to restart the device and Its getting too much. It started yesterday with an interval of 1hr and now with interval of like 10 mins. Please I really need help. I have tried using a previous software version and the problem still persists. Also I have tried with a previous backup and still not working.

Best Regards

  • Frozen at BIOS.  Not much you can do since it's stuck at low level/hardware.  Before OS loads.

I hope you had the presence of mind to take a backup, and that you noted on which version of SFOS.  Most likely, if an RMA is coming, it may be with an SFOS different to the version you made your backup with.  If that happen, you will not be able to restore.  So make sure they ship you your XG135 with the same SFOS as the one you made your backup with.

Also you may need to do the pattern updates before the SFOS backup will take.

Just remember to set it all up and then deploy the Appliance Cert for https scanning - I did this before finalising the set up and needed to do it again :-(
