EasyDNS - Dynamic DNS Issue

The Dynamic DNS feature in Sophos XG firewall appears to be broken. I can confirm that my IP Address does get updated with EasyDNS but the Firewall reports "0.0.0.0" for the Last Updated IP and the Failure Reason is listed as "Unknown Error"

Please provide me the Screen shots of configurations and error.

I also suggest you to Upgrade XG to SF-OS MR 1.1.

I am running SFOS 16.01.0 and EasyDNS will not update for me either.

Same issue for my Cyberoam CR-25iNG

Even if the record is updated in EasyDNS dashboard, Sophos shows two errors in the console:

Invalid Configuration or bad authorization & unknown error.

Hi, I have EXACTLY the same issue. Running XG 16.05.7 MR7. Configured EasyDNS provider exactly as in the manual. Get the exact same error as above, repeated every 5 minutes in the log file, however, the IP address IS updated correctly. Can Sophos please fix this error?

Hi David,

Please try both the options in "IPv4 address" section and let us know if that helps. Alongside, check your A record for the hostname on whatsmydns and let us know if the IP addresses are resolved.

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. Same end result. The IP address does update properly but the error messages keep coming in the log every 5 minutes.

If the WAN IP changes it resolves properly, but still the errors.

Odd - what next?

I am still having the same exact issue with XG 17.1, works fine, ddc.log shows "NO ERROR" but it parses to "ERROR"

Did you ever have a chance to look at the logs I sent you?
