File Protection: How to quarantine attachments?

Just tried the online demo of XG 17.5. I couldn't find out how to quarantine attachments. There is only an option to block them. For me this is essential and even with PureMessage it is possible. Do i miss something?

And what does blocking mean? Will these mails be rejected at smtp time or deleted?

Fileprotection is not able to quarantine Attachments. If you start using File Protection, Mails having a mentioned Attachment are dropped irreversibly.

So this is a showstopper using the Sophos XG for several of our customers.

What may be a solution for that?

  • If a customer / Partner requires such a Feature, i most likely move them to Central Email.

Central Email Offers such a feature (and much more) and is easy to integrate with a XG.

XG has, like Christian already explained, not this feature in the current Firmware.
