about connexion speed

hello everyone

       i want help please

i did a migration of two firewalls, i changed the cisco firewall 5020 by sophos xg 230, all of it goes well about the rules,

but i found that the speed of the connection is slow by bringing the cisco

into the LAN to WAN rule i have not enabled neither IPS nor Traffic Shapping nor filtering

I want to know and there is an option that allows us to control the bitrate use by the connection

thanks in advance

  • Hi sadiki ,

You may check few settings that might identify the connection issue.

    Step 1:

Check if there are any drops or errors on the interface

Go to Option 4>  show network interfaces

You should expect the results as shown below.

    RX State: packets:259526 bytes:390574475 (372.4 MiB)
                               errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
                     TX State: packets:101704 bytes:5887110 (5.6 MiB)
                               errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

    Step 2:

Option 4> system diagnostics utilities bandwidth-monitor

Debault will show live bandwidth utilization.

Toggle 'u' twice , you should see e/s i.e Error per Second.

    It should be 0.
