SSL Remote Access issues

I'm having an issue with SSL remote access. I'm able to successfully establish a connection and I'm able to ping over the tunnel. However after a period of inactivity the connection stops passing traffic; the connection appears to still be connected however no data passes. I've checked the logs on both XG and the client and neither have any entries which appear to be related to this. I've tried using the Sophos client and also the OpenVPN client and get the same issue with both. I also checked and disconnect on idle is disabled

Any help is greatly appreciated

  • Basically i would try to do both dumps. On XG and Client.

But the wireshark dump is much easier.

I assume, there are some kind of wrong routing of the client at this point of failure.

We / OpenVPN Community can not help you until we know, who is causing this issue. Could be XG, Could be Windows Client.

If the Windows client is not sending the correct packets through the tunnel, XG never gets anything.

If the Windows does the right routing and XG drops it, you would see it in the dump on the XG.

At this point, we need to know, if the packets arrive at XG or not.
