SSL Remote Access issues

I'm having an issue with SSL remote access. I'm able to successfully establish a connection and I'm able to ping over the tunnel. However after a period of inactivity the connection stops passing traffic; the connection appears to still be connected however no data passes. I've checked the logs on both XG and the client and neither have any entries which appear to be related to this. I've tried using the Sophos client and also the OpenVPN client and get the same issue with both. I also checked and disconnect on idle is disabled

Any help is greatly appreciated

  • Could be an client issue.

Can you perform a wireshark dump on the client after the timeout happened?

If the client decides not to use tunnel anymore, it could explain this behavior.

Check out the openvpn Community, there are couple of threads about this and how to fix this, if needed.
