ISO missing bootable flag

I am having the same issue. I have tried multiple program to write the ISO to a USB stick and all gave me the same error message. Please re-upload a bootable version of the ISO.

I have the same issue with KVM - not bootable. TBH I'm a bit surprised that not even the most minimal smoke test seems to be done before releasing a new image?!

I had no luck though. The KVM qcow2 images segfault and the old iso can't detect my hdd under KVM. Guess I have to wait for Sophos to fix this issue and provide a new, working image.

I've been able to get an older (16.something) image. This one was bootable and seems fine thus far. It would've helped if we as end-user could chose as well. For home-users, this does not seem to apply.

I've got the same problem with XG Home Edition - SFOS_OSS-17.1.2_MR-2-225 ISO

I've tried burning it as a CD and also creating a bootable USB with Rufus.

I think Sophos  just kidding with us We don't want waste time with them in market other options available we have to try it

Hello all,

today were released new ISO images at the MySophos portal ( https://secure2.sophos.com/en-us/mysophos ). I installed the ISO HW-17.1.2_MR-2-225.iso to the HW appliance XG105 and absolutely no problem.

That actually won't work as it will not add the boot options.

You can check a iso beforehand on Linux and Mac with the File command.
In Windows, you might need a tool for that. Google has all the answers.
