Port forwarding -

3 days reading & rereading; experimenting...  NOOB....  I have followed all of the templates, setup static IP for gameserver, setup services 1:65535 to 25565, firewall wan, any, etc. Still not working. Only thing I see that looks different is the static IP for gameserver shows up with a subnet of 255.255.255.255 while the lan is on 255.255.255.0; is this the problem and if so, how do I fix it.  Thanks in advance!

yes, I have tried both....

  • Yes, I saw all your comments. Looking at the packet capture is clear that traffic is not reaching to XG. You have to verify with your ISP  whether incoming traffic is allowed? Also if you have a router in front of XG then you need to enable port forwarding on router as well.

    ok, maybe I better clarify:

    1. Destination IP from which you want to forward port to your gaming server.

Please explain 'Destination IP' and what screen are you referring?

    2. Try enabling NAT.

    Enable where?

    3.

ISP does not block any ports; just called and verified.

I do appreciate your patience.  If I knew what I was doing it would help, but I don't.

    Thanks

  • Thank you for your help.

I am still trying to get it working, but will have to wait until late tomorrow.
