17.1 upgrade taking a long time

It took a long time for my XG Home running MR8 to update too, but it didn't take anywhere near 2 hours.  In my case the "Applying firmware" and reboot were fairly quick, but after it post it took a considerable amount of time (maybe 10 minutes) before the GUI was accessible and the device started passing traffic.

After waiting an additional 7 hours with still no change I crossed my fingers and issued a reboot.

System came back up with 17.1 and fully operational.

I had to do the same. Reboot never happened, had to run it from the command line.
