So did something just change on the application control front? All the google stuff started to be blocked

Just making sure i'm not going mad..... with the exception of our IT admins, all the google apps just started to get blocked (Which was fun considering we're a Google site).

Traced it to application control and had to create a new rule to all the Google stuffs........ what's changed?

  • You are not loosing your mind... showed up to work today... NO EMAIL (Google G Suite).   Jumped on here to see if others were having issues.   And yes, it was "Application Control" that was doing the blocking.  My fix was also creating a new rule to OK Google services.

BUT... I am finding that this is not just a "Google" issue... we also noticed it on Facebook, Pinterest, Fox News, Amazon and many more sites/applications are being blocked out of nowhere... (NEVER previously blocked)

What is really odd.... if you go under "Application Filter" tab and search for the "BLOCKED" application in the list of applications blocked, it (example google mail) does not show in the list of blocked applications, yet still needs a "new rule" in able to get it to work.

It is almost as if the "Application Filter" got a new set of rules overnight, and randomly is blocking sites.
