You may try the following Steps (May need downtime).

Disable/STOP the services on the SFOS under configure > System Service > Service

Upgrade the firmware , I would recommend you to take a backup before uploading the new firmware.

Let us know if you experience the same issue.

We are  using the latest Sophos Firmware SFOS 17.0.6 MR-6

There is actually two new versions, mr-7 should show up in your update list, mr-8 if you really want to, but is not needed.
