Allow a Wireless Network to Bypass RED Tunnel

I have two wireless networks at a remote location, one for staff and one for students. The staff network has heavy bandwidth usage so I want to exempt it from the RED tunnel and just go straight to the Internet. How can I configure the wireless and the RED to accomplish this?

  • As mention before: The challenge in RED splitting is, the RED is a "dump" routing device. So it can route "everything" or just couple of networks into the tunnel.

So if you want to have a "special" scenario, you should think about replacing the red with XG105.

Afterwards you create a site to site tunnel with IPsec and can configure the XG with "special routing policys".
