Locate feature not working

I have set up the security features & am attempting to test the remote locate feature, but it doesn't appear to be working correctly. I receive the commend text on the "lost phone", but do not receive a location response on the phone that sent it (which I have confirmed is set up as one of the authorized numbers).

is the SMS deleted automatically

Can you please specify the device model and android version?

Do you use a custom ROM?

No. The SMS is not auto deleted. Droid Razr running ICS. No custom ROM.

Hello,

do you have any other security app installed?

Can you please verfiy that you used the correct command? (Locate password)

Does a lock work?

For testing, please change the password to a simple one.

I am also having this issue. It seemed to be working up until this last update. I am running a custom ROM as I was previously. I don't use the native message app either, I use Handcent.

Just as an additional data point, the remote lock command doesn't work either.

Hello,

unfortunatally we cannot support all custom ROMs. SMSec needs to have access to the SMS and the 3rd Party Message App together with the custom ROM might block taht access.

I have the same problem on both my phones, Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC One X, both ICS and stock ROM. I am sure I used the correct password. I hope you resolve this issue, because the main reason I got this app was because of this feature that I can't use now.

Hello,

can you please verify that the App is set up as device administrator?

You can do this via our app when selecting the Loss and Theft section.
