Sophos Secure Email for iOS - Notification problem

Hi there,

We are testing Sophos Secure Email on iOS (Ver. 6.11.9) and noticed that the notification for new messages only works when the app runs in Background. We also noticed that the notification for new messages often appears very delayed (sometimes about 15 Minutes).

When the app is completely closed the notification never works. The Background App Refresh setting for Secure Email is enabled.

Is this behavior normal?

  • Instead of a container you can use regular profiles in Sophos Mobile Control to enroll your email settings and so on.

    As far as i know there are two basic approaches where you can configurate your MDM solution. If ou are new to this i highly recommend you some kind of a tutorial to learn the basic concepts. A relativly good source are the pdf docs from Sophos.

    I don't think they will stop developing the app so soon but I agree that this bugs are very annoying
