Office365 Hosted Exchange compatibility

Is anyone using Sophos Mobile Control with a Hosted Exchange environment? We are migrating this weekend and while we have not yet implemented Sophs Mobile Control, the doucmentation and a couple of support reps seem to imply that if we don't have a on-premises Exchange box, we may not be able to use Sophos Mobile.

Can anyone verify whehter or not we can use Office 365 and Sophos Mobile?

Thanks

  • Hi JFCSDave,

yes, I am aware that you have just one URL in the first place, but if I remember correctly the URL was changed after the first synchronization of a mailbox, which the EAS Proxy cannot handle right now.

Right now the usage of Office 365 was not tested with Sophos Mobile Control. Please check the SMC 4.0 release notes for the supported email systems.

    Best regards

    Stefan

  • Has the status of MS Office 365 support changed?

My Exchange mailbox has been migrated to the MSO cloud. What do you mean by "the URL was changed after the first synchronization of a mailbox"? How could that be confirmed? What can I check?

I want to enforce the Compliance policy to Deny if not allowed in the Exchange system. To do that I want to use our External EAS Proxy server to connect to MS cloud-based Exchange mail. Have any customers been successful in implementing that configuration?
