Error Log Q

Hi

I have searched this forum, but cant find the meaning of this error log.   I just installed sophos endpoint protection on my PC running windows XP

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hello F1,

    it simply means that updating failed. As the client does not request RMS this looks like either the standalone version (downloaded from Sophos) or a custom standalone package. It is set to update from Sophos - did you configure this and are you using the correct credentials?

    More information about the error is in the ALUpdate log (depending on your OS version in the [%ProgramFiles%|%ProgramData%]\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs\ folder).
