CIDSYNC_E_RCIDERROR (Remote CID is corrupted.)

Hello,

I tried to install the client on a new machine (Win7 SP1, 32 Bit), but it fails to download from the server.

This is what I get when I manually want to update:

 Any idea what I should try?

The server provides updates for about 100 machines, and this works very well except for the new machine.

    I copied the file vdl40.vdb from another machine, but this did not help either. The update always tries to download it again, as if it would not be there already. The file size is as yours.

    I tried to understand the log:
