Error 5DD0FE25 when logging in to this forum

I've been logging in using Firefox on Linux for the past few weeks and all of the sudden today I'm receiving the following message:

  An Unexpected Error has occurred
Your request failed. We recommend you open a Lithium Support Case and provide the date and time you received the
error and this Exception ID: 5DD0FE25.
Click your browser's Back button to continue.

I've had to login using Chrome, and just hoping that also doesn't somehow stop working.

What is the cause of this? I've deleted my browser cache and cookies related to this website, and it still fails.

I've contacted "Lithium" and their support was entirely unhelpful, and downright rude.

  • I don't see any way to PM you, so the support ticket is #00092394. The closed it without answering, only saying they were going to follow up with someone from Sophos.

I appreciate your looking into this. I was extremely disappointed with their lack of follow-up and interest in helping (they first tried to send me to some general voice mailbox then just hung up on me).

  • Hello gossamer,

if you click a user's name (in this case sandy's) you'll see Send this user a private message in the Contact me section on the right if she has PM enabled (make sure you have enabled it for your account).

Not to endorse rude behaviour but a community member of a Lithium-powered "platform" is not a Lithium customer.

  • Thanks for the info about messaging.

I knew someone was going to say that about LIthium. However, it says directly on the error message to open a support ticket with Lithium directly - it also doesn't justify them hanging up on me or telling me they're going to follow up with something and then just not do it.

  • Sandy, thanks for the follow-up. I've also enabled notifications.

  • Sandy, any update to this? No update here and I don't see a private message.

  • Sandy, reverting to the previous version of the forum software appears to have fixed the problem. Thanks so much for your follow-up.

I'd still recommend never buying anything from Lithium, as they were very inconsiderate on the phone and rude in their support response, especially when it was their fault to begin with.
