Decoding of ... Mac OS X 10.4+...was not done because the synchronization failed

I'm getting a error under the Updates section in SEC Manager for my main system.

The details in Update Manager of SEC are: 

11/1/2013 3:00:08PM      80040404      Threat detecion data update failed.

11/1/2013 3:00:06PM      80040410      Data read from the update source for software subscription "Recommended" was invalid (e.g. corrupt or imcomplete).

11/1/2013 2:26:08PM       80040401      Software update failed.

Sophos LogViewer is reporting:

11/1/2013 3:00:06 PM    Error      Decoding of product release Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X 10.4+ version 9.0.1.91247 was not done because the synchronization failed.

11/1/2013 3:00:06 PM    Error      Version information for product 'Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X 10.4+' was not gathered by dispatcher 'DispatcherSupplements-2013-11-01T19-00-02-12', as the last synchronization of that product failed.

EventLog is showing:

    sounds like you were/are using fixed packages. Do you also have an older SEC version? Looks similar to the issue in the Where did my 10.3.2 package go? thread. Normally SUM should give a more specific message in case of a retired fixed package.

    So I can't say what is correct for you - if you don't have a specific reason for selecting fixed packages the 9 Recommended is just that, the recommended package of version 9. Note that it requires Mac OS X 10.6+ but as you've already used version 9 this should not concern you.
