sophos update manager not updating

I have setup a new sophos EC 5.2.1.

install everything on the same server.

but now I have this error saying "An update manager has not updated since Thursday, Sept 19, 2013".

this is one day after I setup the same last week..

now some of the clients that shows connected are all under the unmanaged category

    Hello yeowkm,

    unfortunately you screenshots don't give any insight to the cause of the problem(s). Actually they don't even depict the connected but unmanaged issue.

    It appears to be a communication problem as the Last message time in updatemgr.jpg (which is, BTW, from the client/endpoint component, not SUM) shows the 19th. Is the any alert or error in the Update managers view, if not - what's the Download status?
