Sophos Remote Management System

Hello,

I am trying to remove "Sophos Remote Management System" from a Windows 2003 SBS SP2 via Add and Remove Programs.

On running the installer I revieve the following message (complete);

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Sophos remote management system.msi" in the box below.

My question primarily is, is there a Sophos removal tool available similar to that which Norton provide?  Failing that, how would I go about removing this application manually?

CHEERS,

Pete

  • Hi QC,

    All of the other components have already been uninstalled.

    There are no longer any endpoint workstations.

    The server still has the "Sophos Remote Management System" running on it - it is this that I am trying to remove. But as I run the uninstaller via add remove programs I get an error;

    (The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

    Hence I was wondring if Sophos provide a removal tool (like Norton does).

    Basically it's an old server that is in a bit of a mess and I am attempting to clean it up to eek out a bit more life.
