how much time to install?

i've deployed latest sophos client to a remote PC. it uninstalled kaspersky fine. but on the console, the status is still showing downloading (that yellow arrow pointing downwards).

is this normal that it takes that long for a remote site? i am able to rdp to the remote PC fine and speed is acceptable (not too slow). i also checked and saw that the icon is now showing in the lower right corner of the screen.

is there anything i can check why it is taking so long?

Hi,
AutoUpdate installs, pulls down the packages and then installs them.
If you see the shield then AutoUpdate has installed. If it genuienly is still in the process of downloading/installing then if you right click on the shield, is "View Updating Status" available to you, if so that will show progress. Othewise the logs file of AutoUpdate will help.

"View Updating Status" is not available when i right click on it. only the usual protect computers and view computer details.
how or where to view the update logs please?

Hello rino19ny,
Jak was referring to the taskbar icon on the endpoint.
As nor the logfiles please see Information on Windows Log Files for Endpoint Security and Control.
