Another could not contact server

Endpoint security and control v9.5

I have one laptop that "could not contact server".

It's running Win 7 Professional 64 bit, and is meant to use secondary server (sophos) when not on work network, it updates okay when contacting primary (work) server.

I have configured other laptops running Win 7 Pro but 32 bit, and they work okay.

    Started having the dreaded  "Download of SAVXP failed from server Sophos" on a Win7 32-bit laptop that is not on any kind of Enterprise system; it is a 100% stand-alone install, using the "Sophos" server for updating.

    My fix: I put the same username and password credentials into the "secondary login" tab of the Sophos Update config dialog and it worked.

    Clearly this is a software defect in the Sophps 10.x client for Windows.

    An no, I'm not going to waste my time posting any logs. Sophos software engineering: FIX THE **bleep** SOFTWARE. Please.
