Best Practice: installing client on Update Manager host?

May sound like a weird question :smileyfrustrated:, but i have seen servers that have the Enterprise Console installed, but not the client ..

To quench my doubts, please tell me this is needed, or not? Any specific exceptions to load for that machine too?

  • Hello IK,

normally you install Endpoint on the server after installation of the console. Wouldn't run without AV and wouldn't recommend running a competitor product (especially if there's an SUM on the server - I assume we are not talking about just Remote Consoles but a full management server).
