SAV v. 9.1.6 for Mac requires libcrypto.dylib v. 1.0.0?

Hi,

I’’’’m using SAV v. 9.1.6 for Mac with OS X v. 10.9.4. Suddenly the on-access scanner won’’’’t start (I can’’’’t start it manually either), I can’’’’t update the the anti-virus software and several times a minute SAV generates error messages and crash reports of the following types, slowing my Mac down. Is anyone else experiencing this problem, and is there a solution to it? Thank you in advance for you replies!

  • Hi again,

I solved the problem myself by copying "libcrypto.dylib" from "/Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/Libraries" in an old Time Machine backup to my current "/Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/Libraries", where the file seemed to be missing. After restarting my computer, the error messages stopped appearing in my log file and I was able to update Sophos again. After the update, the on-acess scanner enabled itself as well. Why "libcrypto.dylib" was suddenly missing from my setup, I don't know.
