Remote remove Sophos Client

Hi,

is there a way to remotely uninstall the Sophos Endpoint Client components? Or do I have to uninstall all the components manually?

Thanks

Regards,

Michael

  • Hello Michael,

Do you know whether it is planned to make uninstall a little more convenient

I'm not Sophos and have no channel to Development. But personally I presume definitely not, no :smileytongue: - why should one want to uninstall Sophos??? :smileyvery-happy:

Seriously - this is not a regular task you'd have to perform. Indeed, why would you want to do this? There aren't many issues which you can solve by uninstalling and re-installing alone, so you'd have to visit the client anyway. As the uninstall strings seldom change the script should offer adequate convenience. Furthermore - running these commands would be all that SEC could do but then it'd be unable to check the outcome (how could it without the RMS component installed).
